Today, across the world VISA shut down operations of prepaid debt cards attached to cryptocurrency. This is not solely the action of Visa, IMO, VISA is getting heat from governmental agencies.
How does this affect the MJ world, well let's see.... There are MJ crypto's out there attached to prepaid debit cards. That's how you use those crypto's to buy products or get cash.
The MJ world is up against so munch governmental actions that adding a debit card just throws more problems at the situation.
That's why I spoke about PotPons earlier this week. It is a complete internal mobile pay system utilizing a cryptocurrency. There is no connection to a debit card so there for there is no third party trying to create an issue for the crypto; because they are getting heat from the government.
The Marijuana and the Crypto industries are a revolution for the people, that the governments have not figured out how to control and profit from. It is a matter of time for VISA and MasterCard to start shutting down the other crypto prepaid cards. Then what??? You need an internal mobile pay system that does not rely on outside parties.
If you are a MJ lover and advocate who follows the crypto market, keep your eye on PotPons, because I believe when the dust settles PotPons will come out on top!

The flood on legal marijuana in California
Almost 2 years after the vote to legalize recreational marijuana was passed, back in 2016, yesterday was the opening day.
Now this does not mean you can buy weed everywhere in the state. Each city and county are issuing their licenses at their own speed. You may have been able to get weed in LA yesterday, but San Francisco was not open yet to legal recreational sales.
One factor to keep in mind is the publics view of the product. What I mean is that how will it be accepted in public venues and private businesses. Just cause it is legal to buy and have, does not mean that individual businesses and local governments will not begin placing restrictions on where you can smoke.

Cryptocurrency Marries Marijuana
Looking into 2018, the two hottest markets which have emerged from late 2017, are cryptocurrency and marijuana. Digging deeper I have found one player that is making positive waves in these industries. PotPons (www.potpons.com) is the result of the marriage between cryptocurrency and marijuana.
Looking into this new coin called PotPons and the group behind the development it looks as if they have the love for both markets and the knowledge and ability to work to maintain and grow the marriage.
They say PotPons is a p2p tradable virtual currency which is also the powering currency of the PotPons merchant system; which provides an alternative to cash for the medical marijuana industry. Reviewing the PotPons site (www.potpons.com), which shows to be running a pre-sale with bonus, the development of the merchant system looks to provide some user friendly technologies that we have seen in other industries but have not seen before in the marijuana industry. The system resembles something like a mix between mobile pay, a credit card processor, and an internal gifting and trading platform. Pretty cool, I must say!
In an industry that relies on cash as their primary funding source, an alternative payment option is needed. People like you and I have the ability to use our credit cards and debt cards to purchase items at the store, but the people that need to purchase legal marijuana to cope with their illnesses don't have the same options. Looking at the industry, especially the US market, the people that need legal marijuana to cope with their illnesses have to carry large sums of cash. And we all know that people can get robbed, they can lose their cash, they don't track their cash spending (like they track their card transaction), and of course stores get robbed. PotPons suggests that alternatives to cash can help provide a safer workplace for both the patients and the merchants.
Looking into the group behind PotPons, this looks to be a well oiled machine as opposed to most marijuana ventures which are usually a bunch of hippies trying to make a dream happen. PotPons site and a recent google of PotPons shows that PotPons is a subsidiary of a public company called South American Gold Corp. Looking into South American Gold Corp, their site shows a vast outreach of products under development for the marijuana industry along with other products. Researching South American Gold Corp further, the company shows to be a publicly traded company that has been in the legal marijuana industry for years.
Searching further into PotPons, I found a couple of interesting press releases, but the one that sticks out the most to me is the one on Dec. 15th. (https://www.accesswire.com/484425/South-American-Gold-Corp-Announces-Development-Partner-for-Launch-of-PotPons), it says that PotPons is entering into a partnership with another public company called Favored, for the launch of PotPons coins on their cryptocurrency exchange bittraderpro.com.
All in all, it looks like we have a real player on the block that can help reshape the medical marijuana industry with the introduction of the cryptocurrency PotPons. I look forward to tracking the growth of this new coin.
